HAND DELIVERY LTD EXPANDS AND MOVES IN NEXT DOOR
St Albans-based Hand Delivery Ltd, has invested £80,000 in expanding and refurbishing its premises to double its capacity.
The company, which is on the Verulam Industrial Estate, has taken on a new site adjacent to its existing depot providing an extensive 10,000 sq ft warehouse. The depot now also has 3000 sq ft of office space.
Currently handling 1500 consignments a day, the company grew at the rate of 12 per cent last year and the signs are that this trend is set to continue over the next 12 months.
Established for 11 years, the company has also expanded its vehicle fleet and headcount to meet increasing market demand for its services, taking on four new vehicles and six extra members of staff in the last six months.
As part of the refurbishment, Hand Delivery has invested in a new roller system which will allow customers parcels to flow through the system safely and efficiently.

The company also has a new web booking system, which allows customers to book collections and deliveries over the internet without leaving home.
Hand Delivery Ltd operates a range of courier’s services which includes a sameday operation, overnight parcels operation through APC and an express international service. |
